The month saw the company retail an impressive 5,115 units, a notable accomplishment that caps off a year of substantial growth and expansion for the brand in the Canadian market.

 

A Year of Exceptional Growth

 

Results for the year 2023 support Subaru Canada's robust market presence, with the company selling a total of 54,966 units. This figure represents a significant 24.9% increase from the previous year, translating to an additional 10,957 Subaru vehicles finding their way to Canadian customers.

 

Record-Breaking December Sales

 

December 2023, in particular, was a landmark period for . The month's sales surpassed the previous record set in December 2019, when 4,671 units were sold. Contributing to this achievement were two of Subaru’s models - the Crosstrek and the Solterra - both setting their own best-ever December sales records. The Crosstrek, a perennial favorite, experienced a 13.7% increase in sales compared to December 2020, while the Solterra, Subaru's pioneering electric SUV, saw a 7.4% rise from its sales in December 2022.

 

Spotlight on Crosstrek and Solterra

 

The Crosstrek continues to captivate the Canadian market with its updates for 2024, which include refined comfort and a bold new design. The introduction of the Crosstrek Wilderness variant has further enhanced the model's appeal. This iteration is the most rugged in the Crosstrek lineup, equipped with increased ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and improved approach and departure angles, enabling more adventurous off-road capabilities.
